Our Story

In 2018, Youth Club founder Maksim Antonovs, came face to face with the great needs facing the youth of Riga, Latvia. Like teenagers from many Eastern European countries, They were without hope, structure, positive role models and purpose for their lives.  They would spend their time smoking, drinking, doing drugs and running from broken homes. That is when Max decided he needed to do something to help the kids in Riga so he formed Youth Club. Youth Club provides them with a safe place to hang out and make new friends.

Who we are

Riga Youth Club is located in Riga, Latvia since 2018. Riga is the captial and largest city in Latvia. Latvia is a small Baltic country with a population of 1.9 M people. It borders Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Belarus.Latvia has a long rich history dating back 100's of years. Latvia gained its independence from the former Soviet Union in 1991. While it was great to finally be a free nation it came with its own set of problems. Latvia's economy struggled making it difficult for people to find good paying jobs. Without jobs poverty increases, as well as alcohol and drug abuse. This decline in the family unit caused many kids to be put in orphanages or live on the streets of Riga.
